Photographer Miyaki is sent by the BSI agency to a site of ruined buildings, a former residential area where a tragedy occurred years ago. Known for being cursed and haunted, the place is surrounded by dangerous ghettos. Supposedly abandoned, Miyaki will soon discover that it isn’t entirely deserted.
Written in 1992 as the starting point for a feature film screenplay, BSI was never green-lit. For the first time, we now have the chance to explore this project, which could have been a co-production between Japan and France.
Intense, violent, and cynical, BSI may bear a striking resemblance to today’s world, but at its core, it remains a horror thriller—an immersion into a world where a faint glimmer of justice struggles to shine through. A must-read!
